Hero Mobile - The Hero Response Team
The Hero Mobile is a community service vehicle equipped with computers that are used to record and upload the immediate needs of people to the Wish Upon A Hero website. This allows members from all over the country to help individuals directly. The Hero Mobile serves three primary functions: wish granting, disaster relief, and community awareness.
Wish Granting
After a wish receives an offer, the Hero Mobile is used to pick up and deliver the granted items. For instance, when a family lost most of their belongings to a house fire, the Hero Mobile delivered donated clothes and furniture to the family.
Disaster Relief
The Hero Mobile assists local officials during an emergency crisis or disaster. This consists of evacuation support, transporting supplies, or delivering food and water. The Hero Mobile can traverse flooded roads, heavy snow, and rugged terrain better than most vehicles.
Community Awareness
The Hero Mobile is used at school presentations about social philanthropy. The vehicle is also used to support local fund raisers and assists other charities with toy and food drives.
