Looking for assistance to replace needed AED machines for their fire trucks, the Voorhees Fire Department reached out to FOX News to help generate some awareness. The story was seen by the Philadelphia HERO Team of the Wish Upon A Hero Foundation who reached out to Fire Chief Jim Pacifico to get more information on how they could help. An AED can help save someone's life who goes into cardiac arrest.

Lenny and Debbie have been Jessica's next door neighbors for almost 3 years now. Debbie is a diabetic and has dialysis 3 days each week. Lenny also has diabetes and other health issues. A couple months ago while Debbie was out she tripped over a rug at D+D's. She ended up breaking her hip and fracturing the bones all down her leg. She went to the hospital and has healed very nicely, but now the rehab center she is in will not let her go home to her loving husband until there is a handicap ramp in the front of their house. Lenny and Debbie unfortunately cannot afford it.

A family was in need of a way to fly their 15-year-old son Nathan to New York for his upcoming spine surgery. Nathan has a rare disorder of connective tissues that are causing his spine to crumble, called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. He needs to go see his specialist in New York. Nathan already has had 8 brain and spine surgeries in the last 2 and a half years and this will be number 9. With living off an unemployment check each week for a family of four since the father was laid off back in December it is hard for this family to get money for a plane ticket to New York.

The day after the New Year in 2011, this poor family admitted their 2 month old son into ICU at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital for RSV and Bronchiolitis. He was on a ventilator, a feeding tube, an IV in each arm; one in his wrist, and one in his groin. The doctors paralyzed him and on a morphine drip, due to his little body being so tired that his lungs can't work on their own. A couple days later the IV drip and feeding tube started to cause his body to retain the injected fluid and not release it.

This company in Massachusetts is trying to organize a luncheon for Easter Sunday this year for those people with this condition as well as for local homeless citizens.
