I Had Shoes and Warm Clothes For My Son, Nicholas
November 14, 2011
Amber, a mother of an 8-year-old daughter and a 1 1/2 year old son is searching for some extra help. While her daughter was starting the 3rd grade they decided to buy some needed school clothes and shoes, and after paying bills there is no money until the next paycheck. After the summer weather stopped, the family noticed that the winter clothes and shoes for their son Nicky don't fit. The only shoes that he can fit in are Crocs (sandals) and no warm clothes.
This family would have to wait two weeks to buy Nicky some clothes or shoes and another two weeks after that for more clothes if needed. That is a very long time to keep a 1 1/2 year old boy cold. Amber decided to turn to Wish Upon A Hero and posted a wish to help her out with clothes and/or shoes for her son. She was looking for donations of used clothes, new clothes, money, or something off his Target wish list. After seeing this wish, there were a handful of members who decided to send some used clothes as well as a gift card to this family in need. Also, on behalf of the Wish Foundation, The Pennsylvania Chapter put $50 towards the Target wish list to buy clothes or shoes for their son.
